ORCID iDs

Describes ORCID iDs and the importance of establishing an ORCID iD for researchers, authors, scholars.

Scopus Author ID

To connect your Scopus Author ID to your ORCID iD, do the following.

  1. Login to your ORCID profile.
  2. Scroll down to the "Works" section, mouse over the "Add works" option, and click on the "Search & link" option.
  3. Click on the "Scopus to ORCID" link.
  4. Click on the "Authorize" button to authorize the conection between your ORCID profile and Scopus.
  5. Scopus will use your ORCID profile name to find citations associated with you in the database.  If it doesn't find your name as an author, you may need to search using different name variants.
  6. Select the author name that matches and click the "Next" button.
  7. Select the preferred profile name (if appropriate) and click the "Next" button.
  8. Remove any citations that you did not author and click the "Next" button.
  9. Review the final list of citations and click the "Next" button.
  10. Provide your Baylor e-mail address and click the "Send Author ID" button.  This action sends your Author ID to ORCID and sends a confirming message to your Baylor e-mail account.
  11. To send your publication list to ORCID, click the "Send my publication list" button.
  12. Go to your ORCID account to verify the connection between your ORCID iD and your Scopus Author Identifier.
