B.E.A.R. Camp Resources: Student-Athlete Center for Excellence: Welcome to the Libraries

A first stop guide for resources and skills introduced during the library and research skills session.

What's Here

We at the Libraries are glad to welcome you to Baylor University and the start of your college career! We want to work with you to make it a successful time that will stretch you intellectually, but our people, tools, and resources are also here to make that intellectual growth less stressful.

This guide is a really basic introduction to some of the essential tools and skills you'll need to come down running as a first year student in college. You'll learn more and use other guides and tools as your classes and studies become more sophisticated and complicated.

The box in the left column will get you to chatting with a staff member at the information desks in the Libraries and is available while the library is open. The box in the right column displays our subject librarians' photos and provides you with a link to make an appointment with them. We have librarians to help you with each subject you might study while here at Baylor. We are here to help you succeed, so do make appointments with us as needed and get to know the subject librarian for your major (that list is on one of the other pages of this guide).
