Citing Business Resources & Creating Bibliographies

Looking for help in citing information from one of the online resources provided by the Baylor Library? Here you will find examples to guide your citations using APA v. 6

Citation basics

What information do you need to cite a book or an article? Here is what you need:

  • Author or editor
  • Article or book title
  • Publication date
  • For a book: the name of the publisher and location
  • For an article: source, volume/issue and page
  • For article title, capitalize only the first word of the title and any proper nouns

For items found electronically, you will also need:

  • Name of database
  • DOI if available

 Keep in mind

  • Use the & instead of and with multiple authors
  • Author last name comes first, then initials
  • Italicize journal and book titles, not articles
