Brief Biographies

For this class you won't need to read a book-length biography about your author, but where do you go for reliable biographical informaiton? You need to know if your author is dead or still living. Dead authors will have biographies in one of the national biographies listed below. Living authors will have biographical information in either the Gale Literary Databases listed on the "Basic Literary Research" tab or in the online reference resource, Literati, also listed below.

Oxford Dictionary of National Biography
