Interlibrary Loan/OsoFast
We understand that obtaining materials not directly available from the Baylor Libraries is a valued service that we provide to Baylor faculty, students, and staff. We are currently operating in an extremely challenging environment; however, we will continue to try to provide the OsoFast interlibrary loan service to the best of our ability.
Please note that our services are subject to change at any time, but we will try to keep this page updated with the most current information related to the OsoFast interlibrary loan service. If you have any questions, please contact BU_ILS@baylor.edu.
As of July 1, 2020:
We are continuing to process borrowing requests from Baylor faculty, students, and staff. Note that all borrowing services may take longer than usual. Additionally, we may encounter increased numbers of unfillable request because many of our lending partners are not fully operational at this time.
For those materials delivered electronically (articles, chapters in books, etc.), you will receive them through your OsoFast account as usual. Print materials are being distributed via the curbside delivery service.
For those who are currently more than 30 miles away OR who are unable to travel to campus, we can mail books to you, but we need to sure we have an accurate mailing address. When you receive your notification that your books are available, you'll need to let us know that you prefer that they be mailed to you (email: BU_ILS@baylor.edu).
Note: You are responsible for returning the borrowed material to us -- either in person or by mail/FedEx/UPS.

For the most part, the due dates for all physical interlibrary loan materials are being extended by the lending library, but if you get a message about returning/renewing your materials, please request a renewal if you are not planning on returning the item to the library by the due date.
Additionally, the OsoFast department delivery/pick-up service for faculty is currently suspended. The service will resume on the first day of the Fall Semester when all buildings and departments will return to regular operations. If any departments need to make arrangements for earlier pick-up services, please contact us by email (BU_ILS@baylor.edu).
