Literacies

University Libraries have a range of initiatives to help faculty design and embed literacy curriculum in their courses, to prepare students for careers as thoughtful, effective communicators and content creators.

Schedule an ENG1310 Information Literacy Session

The libraries have an existing partnership with first-year writing courses. Instructors who teach ENG1310 (first-year writing) will need to sign up for an information literacy instruction session. These sessions are standardized and include pre-session work delivered via a Canvas self-enrolled course, an in-person (or live - if you are in an online class) instruction with active learning elements.

Use the link below to sign-up for your ENG1310 information literacy instruction session.

Please reach out to Amy James, Director of Instruction and Information Literacy if you have any questions.
